Summary
When it comes to Reliability regarding Transformers, there are three conditions that are the “three biggest enemies” of your asset: Heat, Oxygen and Moisture. By controlling these three not only can you maintain your unit running but also you can extend the life of said equipment. As transformer custodians, we are responsible in controlling these conditions and minimizing the risk of your transformer. Transformers tend to be very reliable and for that reason we take them for granted but without proper maintenance, we are putting this asset under unnecessary risk.
In this session, we will cover these three conditions and learn how to control them: Understand the dangers of reactive maintenance. By being pro-active we can not only keep the unit running but keep it running for a longer period of time; sometimes even doubling our Return on Investment.
