Expectations, Execution and Engagement

Ron Moore | Contributing Host, RELIABILITY CONNECT

In this podcast we will look at the importance of 1) setting high, but realistic expectations, 2) executing your strategy and plan effectively, and 3) engaging the shop floor in supporting meeting these expectations through their effective engagement in executing the strategy.

Someone once said, “The lowest standard you set is the highest standard you can expect”. It’s also been written that teachers, coaches, and others who set high, but realistic expectations tend to produce much higher performance. We will explore this concept, along with execution – I’d rather have a mediocre plan that’s well executed, than a superb plan that’s poorly executed; and engagement – nothing changes until the shop floor does things differently (better).
