Tools RCM
Reliability Centered Maintenance is a reliability tool used to develop a complete and comprehensive maintenance strategy based failure modes and the context and environment in which you operate the equipment. RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) has been around since the mid-60’s, and if effectively applied in an ideal world would lead to exceptional reliability. In fact, RCM has been applied very effectively in the airlines and nuclear industries - both have potentially enormous consequences in the event of an unplanned failure.

Managing Cultural Change
In this session we’ll be discussing how to manage cultural change, and sustain that change. In almost all surveys done regarding a company’s performance, one nearly constant about what needs to change to improve performance is the company’s culture. Someone once told me if you’re looking for a good excuse for poor performance, Company Culture ranks number 1!

Dealing with Poor Performers
There’s no such thing as a bad employee, but there may be one or two who need to be employed somewhere else. In this session we’ll be delving into the very difficult issue of managing poor performers. Studies indicate that in a typical company, about 30% of employees are actively engaged (high performers), 50% are dis-engaged (getting by), and 20% are actively dis-engaged (detrimental).

The Requirements All Good PM’s Must Meet
Preventive Maintenance, or PM, has been around since we’ve had machines, and is typically calendar based, and less often, run-time based. We’ve known for some 75 years that some 90%+ of time-based intrusive PM is not just unnecessary, but actually detrimental to equipment performance and maintenance costs.
