Digital transformation is finding its way into a lot of industries, including LNG. Condition monitoring (CM) for production asset healthcare and reliability is an important part of this transformation. Unfortunately, most CM solutions are proprietary stand-alone systems. IT infrastructure and even process data storage is often duplicated. This creates extra cost in IT capex, maintenance, training, license fees and cybersecurity, and oftentimes with limited access. The diagnostic portion of the system provides important actionable information for machine healthcare, but again with limited access, limited functionality and sometimes not very transparent.
